In 2022, Mexican Fund for the Conservation of Nature (FMCN, Spanish acronym) participated in the Distinguished Advisory Group of the Integrity Council for Voluntary Carbon Markets in the construction of guidelines on this emerging issue, a process in which FMCN contributed to the Latin American vision and knowledge of the challenges facing the Mexican countryside. In addition, FMCN will experiment with the voluntary carbon market in the pursuit of Rancho El Uno financial sustainability through an initiative, which is likely to materialize in the first half of 2023.
