The Kaanbal Suut project was conceived in 2021 with the support of The David and Lucile Packard Foundation to strengthen the internal capacities, leadership and partnership opportunities of local organizations in the Yucatan Peninsula that work on projects linked to the environmental sector. In 2022, the second generation of the project concluded the training process of 20 groups, represented by 34 leaders, who strengthened their capacities and leveraged the impact of their organizations, which will indirectly benefit around two thousand people. Following the success of the first and second versions of the project, a new group of 20 organizations will be selected to strengthen their capacities in 2023.
