The Mesoamerican Reef Leadership Program (MAR-L) project develops the talent and capacities of agents of change in the four countries that share the Mesoamerican Reef System: Mexico, Guatemala, Belize and Honduras. In eleven years of operation, MAR-L has trained 122 leaders and incubated more than seventy conservation projects. More than seventy leaders have risen to positions of greater responsibility and 30 leaders have influenced public policy in their country. In 2022, an evaluation of the first 11 years of MAR-L was carried out and the tenth generation of leaders was selected, which will focus its projects on nature-based solutions, with market links within the framework of the MAR+Invest Fund.
